New Litigation Associate for Worker’s Comp, Insurance Defense
St. Louis, MO – April 15, 2014 – David W. Morin has joined the ligation department of Danna McKitrick, P.C. Morin will primarily defend workers’ compensation cases on behalf of employers and insurance carriers.
“I joined Danna McKitrick to practice with the firm’s quality litigation attorneys,” said Morin. “I am excited to expand my skill set while bringing my past experience in litigation and workers’ compensation law to the firm.”
Morin’s experience includes taking and defending depositions of medical and vocational expert witnesses and litigating administrative cases. He has also worked with clients in matters related to Medicare/Medicaid and the Secondary Payer Act.
“David comes to Danna McKitrick with experience defending workers’ compensation matters,” said David R. Bohm, principal and chair of Danna McKitrick’s litigation department. “This experience, combined with David’s intelligence and work ethic, will make him a real asset to the firm’s clients.”
Morin was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri where he represented the Second Injury Fund in administrative hearings and on appeal before the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission. He also has trust experience and previously worked for the Business Development group of the Edward Jones Trust Company.
Morin earned his J.D. and a Certificate in International and Comparative Law from Saint Louis University School of Law. He was on the staff of the Saint Louis University Law Journal and a member of the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Team and Phi Alpha Delta. He graduated summa cum laude from Catholic University with a B.A. in politics, where he was a member of the varsity lacrosse team and on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He was a member of several honorary societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, Pi Gamma Mu, and Phi Eta Sigma.
As a law student, Morin was a judicial intern to Judge Audrey Fleissig, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Eastern District of Missouri. He also interned with the criminal, civil rights, and financial crimes divisions of the Maine Office of the Attorney General, and was a summer associate with a one of the largest law firms in Maine.
Morin is admitted to practice in Missouri and is a member of The Missouri Bar.
