Misty
A. Watson
A member of Danna McKitrick’s transaction team, Misty Watson concentrates her practice in the area of estate planning and estate administration—specifically the creation of trusts, wills, financial and health care powers of attorney, trust administration, guardianships, and conservatorships.
Sound knowledge of estate planning options combined with sensitivity and care allows Misty to walk clients through the legal maze of estate planning and administration, providing guidance in making difficult personal, legal, and financial decisions.
Misty’s experience in addressing the particular needs of families began with her pre-law social work career and continued through her clerking experience at another mid-sized firm, Georgia Legal Services, and Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
Through her experience as a social worker, Misty gained unique perspectives on client relations and family needs that makes her especially effective at navigating the sensitive issues surrounding special needs trusts, minor trusts, and spousal trusts designed to minimize tax consequences. Her knowledge, insight, and regard for priorities and concerns specific to each family member allows her to guide clients through complicated issues resulting in the development of a comprehensive plan.
