Patrick J. Murphy
Patrick Murphy, a CPA and transactional attorney, possesses a strong background in public accounting where he honed his financial and advisory skills working with two local CPA firms and a global Big 4 firm.

His keen interest in business and personal financial matters inspired him to pursue a legal career through which he could even more thoroughly assist families and business owners through all the phases of planning and executing their objectives. For families and individuals, he provides general legal advice and planning including estate planning. Because of his combination of accountancy and legal experience, Patrick’s clients are confident that he considers their complete picture when contemplating options.

Much of Patrick’s corporate work involves transactions such as advice and contracts surrounding mergers and acquisitions, buy/sell agreements, corporate structuring, and real estate transactions for small to medium-sized businesses.

Patrick proactively guides clients in sound business and personal decisions. Some of his recent successes include:

Positively impacted the sale of a petroleum company by increasing the deal's value more than 17% over the buyer's previous offer and allocating the purchase price among the various entities.
Executed estates in which Patrick assured his clients' desires were carried out exactly the way they had wished.
Represented an employee in purchasing a service division of the manufacturing company where he worked. The transaction involved protecting intellectual property assets through mechanisms such as license agreements.
Benefited several charities through well-structured charitable remainder trusts and foundations at the will of various clients.

Prior to joining Danna McKitrick, Patrick was in private practice for several years. He brought his practice to the firm in order to offer clients a broader range of services through his colleagues.
