Ruth
A. Binger
Ruth Binger serves emerging and mature businesses, providing creative practical
advice and solutions in corporate, intellectual property, and employment law. Her knowledge of the multifaceted issues inherent in business operations equips her to share information and strategies to help others achieve their goals.
A strategist at heart, Ruth asks clients where they wish to “go” and shows them ways to get there. A big picture thinker, she helps people see things differently in order to find their optimal solutions. Ruth understands that strategies are merely the
beginning—she’s also diligent about seeing plans through to execution.
Intellectual Property & Technology. She represents clients in trademark and copyright registration and enforcement. Ruth counsels companies in all aspects of intellectual property protection as well as related legal issues such as joint ventures, licensure,
corporate partnering, university licensing, and sponsored research.
Corporate. Ruth routinely guides clients on corporate structure and governance. She also creates or reviews contracts such as license, distribution, franchise, confidentiality, consulting, and joint venture agreements.
Labor & Employment. Committed to preventative strategies, Ruth solves complex challenges that employers face. She competently and aggressively defends clients when administrative action or litigation is necessary in employment terminations, non-compete litigation, and labor union relations.
Ruth founded a CEO Roundtable whose participants are an advisory board for one another. For her efforts on behalf of businesses, she was named a Small Business Monthly “Hero in Small Business,” received the Pacesetter Award from the St. Louis RCGA, and is among St. Louis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” recipients. Nominated by fellow attorneys, Ruth received the 2008 Lawyer’s Lawyer Award in the St. Louis Daily Record’s 10th annual Women’s Justice Awards.
