Bio
Maggie Wichmann is a member of the firm’s Transactional Team working primarily on corporate, intellectual property, employment, real estate, and estate planning matters. She also has experience working in litigation support for intellectual property and commercial litigation.
Corporate. Working with closely-held businesses and entrepreneurs, she assists companies through all facets of their corporate lives. From incorporation to dissolution, Maggie advises business clients in many industries including manufacturing, transportation, and web-based businesses.
Intellectual Property. Maggie advises clients regarding issues related to trademark and copyright registration, infringement issues, and licensing arrangements, as well as issues in advertising and marketing, and in the employment context.
Employment. Assisting in resolving issues that arise in the employer-employee relationship, she advises companies regarding employment terminations, drafting and enforcing non-compete agreements, and negotiations with labor unions.
Real Estate. Drawing on her experience with commercial real estate transactions, Maggie assists with drafting and negotiating contracts relating to the purchase, sale, financing, and leasing of properties.
Estate Planning Matters. Maggie assists in the creation and administration of trusts and estates, analyzing tax implications to minimize estate costs and tax liability.
During law school, she worked in the Judicial Clerkship Clinic for Judge William D. Stiehl in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois.
