Bio

Scott Mueller concentrates his practice in real estate and corporate transactional law and commercial litigation. His practical experience, from both angles, enables him to provide excellent preventive strategies to the individuals and businesses he serves.

Real Estate. Representing title insurance underwriters, insureds, and agents, Scott analyzes and resolves claims involving quiet title, mechanic’s liens, fraud, subrogation, boundary disputes, reformation of instruments, lien priority disputes, and easement usage. For real estate companies, contractors, lessors, and lessees, he handles lien disputes, mortgage validity, commercial leases, and breach of contract issues.

Banking. Heavily involved with secured lending, Scott perfects and secures collateral, manages and resolves poor loan agreement structure, and collects on delinquent loans. He also assists in the protection of assets, and, if necessary, the execution of foreclosures.

Corporate. For business owners and partnerships, Scott provides realistic advice regarding entity structure, growth, third party relationships, equity and assets, governance, and financing. He assists in the enforcement of contracts and skillfully represents clients when litigation is necessary for contract disputes.

Scott has worked in the real estate industry since 2003; clerking for a real estate development company and a title company. Prior to joining Danna McKitrick, he managed the Kansas City office of a St. Louis-based law firm.
