Bio

Marcie Bono is a member of Danna McKitrick’s litigation department. She focuses her practice in two areas of law: bankruptcy and creditor’s rights, and health care. Translating her nursing background to her law career, Marcie now advocates for businesses and individuals, resolving situations effectively and contributing toward positive results.

Bankruptcy. A member of the firm’s bankruptcy and creditor’s rights practice group, Marcie assists both creditors and debtors through either formal bankruptcy or informal workout processes. As debtor counsel, she helps businesses and individuals who are in complicated situations to restructure their circumstances so they may move forward in the best way possible. As creditor counsel, she works to increase creditors’ returns from troubled loans, and to help secured creditors maximize the value of their collateral.

Health Care. Marcie’s first-hand nursing experience is a beneficial element of the services Danna McKitrick provides to medical professionals and others in the health care industry. She is a resource for her fellow attorneys in health care-related matters, assisting with case screening, research, records, and identifying experts.

Marcie is a registered nurse and certified pediatric nurse practitioner having worked for 10 years at St. Louis Children’s Hospital with significant experience in pediatric critical care. She worked full-time while completing her law degree, and joined Danna McKitrick in 2009.
