Attorney David Bohm with Rick Cantor of Avery's Angels on Teen Suicide Preventionprintbutton

5.18.15

Teen suicide prevention and the efforts of Avery’s Angels Foundation were discussed recently on St. Louis Voices on Y-98FM. Joining host Brion O’Brion were Rick Cantor, Avery’s Angels president and founder, and David R. Bohm, foundation vice president and attorney with Danna McKitrick, P.C.

Avery’s Angels works to educate teens to know the signs and symptoms of teens, including and especially depression, who are suicidal and to take the necessary steps to prevent suicide. This includes peer-to-peer groups in schools.

The discussion included why teens choose suicide, warning signs, and resources available to teens.

Avery’s Angels Foundation was founded after Rick Cantor’s daughter, Avery, lost her life to suicide in 2014. It is “dedicated to saving lives by getting teens actively involved in the prevention of teenage suicide.”
